Marie practiced for over 2 years as a criminal defense attorney in Quebec, Canada. She then moved to the Seattle area where she completed her master’s degree in Law at University of Washington. She volunteered for a year at Disabilities Rights Washington and worked on numerous projects, the most important being researching and gathering data about the impacts of solitary confinement for inmates with disabilities.
Marie is fluent in French and is an immigrant from Montreal, Canada—she does have an accent like Celine Dion! In her free time, Marie enjoys hiking, cycling and swimming. She is also a bit of a geek and loves playing video games, watching movies and reading.
