Annie has been a criminal defense attorney since 2013. Prior to joining The Law Offices of Lance Fryrear, Annie worked for a prominent Seattle law firm where she helped manage the criminal defense department. While criminal defense has been her main focus throughout her career, she has also helped protect children in custody battles and litigated dissolutions in family court.
Annie graduated from the University of California San Diego with a major in Political Science. She then received her Juris Doctorate from Seattle University School of Law. Annie interned at the American Civil Liberties Union (“ACLU”), focusing mainly on sex crime analysis and police body camera policy. After the ACLU, she went on to work for a criminal defense firm while still attending law school.
Prior to law school, Annie volunteered abroad in an Ecuadorian orphanage and a school in Thailand. She has always felt a pull towards helping people in vulnerable positions. She is grateful to now use her skills to protect those who are accused of crimes and guide them through the hurdles of the criminal justice system. She is comfortable in the court room and especially comfortable going to trial. Recently she was able to get a client’s criminal charge dismissed after going to trial on a case stemming from a controversial police sting.
Annie is fluent in Russian and is in immigrant from Ukraine. In her free time, she likes to play with her two kids, ride her bike, read, attend concerts, and spend time with her friends and family.
